[E Mail to all BAF Members] Message to BAF members

nickbelshaw has sent you a group email from The British Aikido Federation.

Dear BAF members

I recently asked ClubSecs to circulate information regarding an upcoming
"Scout Funday" in June.
We are hoping to have an Aikido demonstration in an effort to improve
recruitment of
young people.

The response was very poor. As of now we have a couple of instructors and
one Kyu grade.
This is really not sufficient to put on a demonstration to further our
chosen art.

[Club Secretary] Courses

nickbelshaw has sent you a group email from The British Aikido Federation.

Dear Club Secs...
If you could please bring to the attention of your club members - details
of upcoming courses

Feb 4/5 Course in London with Kanetsuka Sensei and Ohta Sensei

Feb 25/26 First National Course of the Year in Oxford.

thanks

Nick

[E Mail to all BAF Members] 2017 - a note from the GS

nickbelshaw has sent you a group email from The British Aikido Federation.

BAF Members - Greetings for 2017.
A few things to draw to your attention as you plan your training for the
coming year.

1) The first National Course in Oxford is earlier this year being at the
end of February on the weekend of 25th + 26th.

2) Spring Course in Chepstow is also quite early at the beginning of
April.

3) Summer School is again later in August than it has traditionally been -
starting on August 19th.

We hope the dates do not cause problems.

[Club Secretary] Membership fees from 1st Jan 2017

nickbelshaw has sent you a group email from The British Aikido Federation.

Dear Club Secs

Following discussions at Summer School AGM concerning fee increases to
allow the BAF to accommodate increasing insurance costs it was proposed
that fees from 1st January 2017 will be as follows.

Adults £35
Concessions £25

[E Mail to all BAF Members] Weekend Course - Sports Center changes

nickbelshaw has sent you a group email from The British Aikido Federation.

For those planning to attend the course in Oxford this coming weekend
please note the following.

Building work has started which has caused some disruption.

[E Mail to all BAF Members] course and certificates

nickbelshaw has sent you a group email from The British Aikido Federation.

For people who graded over the Summer - you will be pleased to hear that
your certificates have arrived.

The first opportunity to receive them will be at the upcoming course in
Oxford (1/2 October).

This Oxford course is the final National Course for this year. I hope we
can have good attendance.

best regards

Nick Belshaw

[Club Secretary] BAF book for sale

nickbelshaw has sent you a group email from The British Aikido Federation.

Club Secretaries - please pass this information to Club Members.

The BAF book is now available. Comprising all the techniques from the
Newsletters along with selected articles and conversations with Yamaguchi
Sensei, Fujita Sensei, and Kanetsuka Sensei.

Combined into a single hardback volume with a gold-on-black Calligraphy
front and a dust-jacket to protect.

[E Mail to all BAF Members] Summer School !!

nickbelshaw has sent you a group email from The British Aikido Federation.

Summer School is now just one month away.

If you have not already booked or decided...I wish to encourage you to
consider attending.

While the dates this year are later in August the arrangements will not
suffer the problems
of last year. Accommodation, training and meals are all in close
proximity.

Bookings so far are disappointing with barely 10% of our membership
planning to attend!
Surely we can do better than this? It seems overseas interest in our
arrangements are
greater than our own.
