Senior Instructors of the British Aikido Federation

This year we welcome for the first time Takeshi Kanazawa, Shihan as the official representative of Doshu and Hombu Dojo.  Sensei Kanazawa is a senior Hombu instructor. We sincerely hope that he will enjoy his time at the BAF Summer School, both on and off the tatami, and become as popular with those attending as have Senseis Kobayashi and Sugawara.

The University of Chester
The venue for Summer School, the University of Chester, has been home to this event for many years and provides excellent facilities for both training and relaxing alike.

Historic Chester
While attending Summer School why not take some time out to visit the historic City of Chester, with the city centre only a 5 minute walk from the College campus.

Chester's Roman remains, the city walls, the River Dee and historic galleries of exclusive shops are well known tourist attractions. The City also offers a wide range of activities and venues for lunchtime and evening entertainment.
