We are pleased to announce that in these tough times we have been able to keep the prices for all training and accommodation the same as those last year. Details are below.
 
Accommodation
The majority of accommodation comprises high standard single en-suite rooms. These are predominantly located on the University campus but this year some rooms will be allocated, in the immediate vicinity of, but outside the campus.

Alternative Accommodation If you do not wish to stay on the campus, alternative accommodation can be found by following this link to the official Chester City Council sites Accommodation Search Caravan & Camping Sites .

All self-catering, of which there are limited numbers, and standard rooms are allocated on a “first come, first served” basis, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Family rates are available on request. Standard accommodation includes bed linen and towels (except self-catering which require towels). All residents are entitled to a full English breakfast as part of their fee.

Facilities on site include self-service restaurants, laundry, swimming pool and a recently refurbished bar.

Training
Classes commence at 2pm on Saturday 31st July. Classes with the Guest Instructors and BAF Shidoin, continue each day from Sunday 1st to Friday 6th August, starting with sword classes at 6.30am. Regular Aikido classes begin daily at 9.00am and at 2.00pm in the afternoon and run until 5.30pm.

In addition to the regular schedule of Aikido classes above, there will be additional lunchtime classes.

The lunchtime and Saturday classes are included at no extra cost for those attending Summer School, for those wishing to attend for Saturday only, there will be a £10 charge.

You don't have to make use of the canteen breakfast supplied, but it is an inseparable part of the accommodation fees, and outside of the BAF's control. ** Overseas or full time students fees include a £25 discount. Only one discount can be applied per booking (on full week packages only). *** Children over the age of 15 will be charged accommodation at full rate

How to Book
Please send your booking form to the address below as soon as possible as we need to establish the number of people attending!

PLEASE NOTE The University has changed the procedure for distributing keys. Keys are no longer issued with your registration pack but are to be collected from University staff on site. This new procedure is outside of the control of the BAF.  The University will be imposing fines for any keys lost or returned late.  Please take care with your keys and ensure they are returned by the required time. It is IMPERATIVE, and in your own best interests, to arrive as EARLY AS POSSIBLE for registration. It is unlikely that the University will be prepared to keep staff on until late afternoon/early evening to distribute keys. Since we may not be able to guarantee that you will be able to collect your keys if you arrive late in the day, it is essential that you try to book in as early as possible on Saturday 31st July.

If you book for a full week as a group of 10 or more (must be at the same time), there maybe a discount available. Family rates are also available. Please contact Stephen Parr for details.

On Arrival at Summer School
BAF Summer School Registration is at University of Chester, Parkgate Road, Chester CH1 4BJ on Saturday 31st July from 12.00pm.  Follow signs on campus for the registration area.

Please help the organisers and yourselves by arriving early.
